Caroline Loveglow’s Debut Album, Strawberry

Caroline Loveglow explores love and lonely worlds through her debut album, Strawberry. Released in 2022 with 100% Electronica ties, this bedroom indie synth pop album serves as a portal into a digitized heaven, where streams of static fly by like clouds in the sky and sleepy rainfall always seems right around the corner.

As the guitar line of lead single “Patience Etc…” unwinds, keys sparkle and Loveglow’s vocals glide forward. Loveglow questions if the divine would find her worth their time, singing, “they’ll be waiting on the second coming / but I don’t think Jesus wants to hang around with me.”

Track 2 opens with bright whispers that lead us to a blissful chorus. As “Happy Happy” glistens, waves of soothing vocals wash over the track. Check out this awesome music video below.

“Strawberry” is a fae song filled with freeing sonics. As it reaches out into the soundscape, it pushes Strawberry further along its path. Amnesia-inducing static floods our ears as Loveglow sings, “When you can’t remember a thing that you did this week / dream how to solve it / dream how to solve it.” A comforting presence comes in the words, “easy now, easy.”

“Zenosyne” soars through skies of blue while waves of white noise flush our minds. Loveglow crafts cinema out of emotion, weaving city stories into her symphonies of synth pop.

“Foxy” steps to its own beat. The drums bring a new level of confidence to the track, manifesting in a new anthem: “Float like a feather / your hunger for glamor won’t fade.”

“Blue Arcade” is ethereal, beckoning listeners into an aether of silvery sounds that stretch out along the track. As the track spins it dreamwork, Loveglow asks, “will you stay here with me?”

“Sink” captures the feeling of freefalling, as Loveglow sings, “how it feels to sink,” evoking the sensation of quicksand or a morning bed you can’t get out of.

“On Earth” closes the album with reflection. Surges of sleepy synths and a vocal flicker take us down gently into the final moments of this digitized heaven.

The tracks on this album brush against your ears like silk, opening a portal to a world of ethereal synth pop and luscious vocals driven by thought-provoking lyricism. Every question that Loveglow asks on this project hangs around throughout the listening experience and helps build up the enigma that is Strawberry
