The world is ending, and it’s up to Cashier to save it with the power of rock and roll. Fortunately, we’re in safe hands, ‘cause this band rips. Characterized by high-speed noise rock riffs liable to blow out speakers, Cashier zooms past the competition. Their squealing guitars feel like wheels skidding, and the vocals swing far as they strike.
As those riveting guitars free-fly throughout the track, it’s hard not to headbang at the absolutely destructive force of sound.
There’s a rebellious spirit drifting around as the lines “Did you mean it / when you said that you didn’t care” hit. The attitude in how the singer throws her voice around helps paint this raucous and wild scene. It’s all so thrilling to listen to.
I was going to say that “Indie rock is alive and well in Lafayette. I guess that’s why they call it… Indiana,” but I just realized they’re from Lafayette, LA. .. so instead I’m going to say “Indie rock is alive and well in LA… and by that, I mean Louisiana.”
